We arrived last March 20, 2015 through Cebu pacific Airways in Sayak Airport, It’s a small airport of Siargao Island. Upon arrival, We go directly in a Van to bring us to General Luna the Island main Surfing town, pay only 300/person. For almost 1 hour in the van, we can see how mother nature is smiling to the world. Kids barefoot playing in the street, Carabaos, farmers, huge rice fields the amazing Jeepney over loading people even in the roof, coconut tress, mango tress, and all you can witness how province like.
Siargao Inn is where we first stay, they have tasty food, nice and calm restaurant, but yeah it’s bit long when they have lots of people. Rico the owner is really good and friendly, he assist us in everything we need. We have fun in the Island, not only surfing, but we do a lot of activities. like snorkeling, island hoping, kayaking, stand up paddle and many more. They also have wind surfing and kite surfing that you can try.
The next resort we stay is in Cloud 9, they call it Boardwalk Cloud 9 resort. It’s the favorite surfing spot and the place where International and National Competition held. We are really facing the Boardwalk tower. Early in the morning we could see people coming to the place to surf, to take pictures, they even held a disco in the area. We usually go take our breakfast to Cafe loka, our favorite cafe in the island.
Now, we are staying in Reef beach houses. Here we spend bit longer than usually, we love the pool, beach front, we have nice corner with 1 bedroom, dining and kitchen, we also have a guard in the resort. People are friendly, here we meet Ms Beth, the owner which is a very nice woman. Paul, Shawn and ate Datdat. they are all friendly. they have its own restaurant, own kayak, paddle board, bike and gym.
I’m actually started to love the island. As a city girl Cebu is always my life. till i found Siargao Island. It really gives me a never ending happy moment staying here.
I am pleased to share to you my best of experience here in Siargao Island.
